The questions we're asked most often by clients booking with us for the first time.
How do I know which lash style to choose?
You don't have to decide alone — that's what the consultation at the start of your appointment is for. Classic applies one extension to each natural lash for a soft, mascara-like finish. Hybrid mixes single lashes with handmade fans for a textured, fuller look. Russian Volume uses fans of up to eight ultra-fine lashes for maximum density. Your artist maps the set to your eye shape and to what your own lashes can safely carry, so if the look you want would be too heavy, we'll design something that gives a similar effect without the damage.
Do I need a patch test?
Yes for lash lifts and tints — book it in advance of your appointment so there's time for any reaction to show. Extensions don't usually require one, but if you've ever reacted to lash adhesive, tint or cosmetics around the eyes, tell us when you book and we'll arrange a test first.
What happens at my first appointment?
We start with a consultation, looking at your natural lash length, density and eye shape, and agree the style together before any extensions go on. A new Classic set takes around 1.5 to 2 hours; Volume and Russian Volume take longer because every fan is made by hand. Come with clean lashes and no eye make-up if you can — it makes the application quicker and helps retention.
How do I look after my lashes afterwards?
Keep them dry for the first 24 hours, avoid oil-based cleansers and heavy eye creams, and brush them through gently with a clean spoolie each morning. Don't pick or pull at them, and sleeping on your back rather than face-down helps a lot. Aftercare is the single biggest factor in how long a set holds its fullness.
How often will I need infills?
Most clients book every two to three weeks. Extensions shed naturally with your own lash growth cycle, so an infill replaces what's grown out and keeps the lash line looking seamless. Infills start at £40 depending on how much regrowth there is.
Will extensions suit me if my lashes are short or fine?
Almost always — the set simply gets designed differently. Shorter or finer natural lashes need lighter extensions and more careful mapping rather than maximum length or volume. This is exactly what the consultation is for, and we'd rather recommend a style that lasts and keeps your lashes healthy than one that looks dramatic for a fortnight and causes damage.
